Mark Your Calendars - Berlin Buzzwords is Back!
Like so many other great conferences, this year’s Berlin Buzzwords has been very different from what we were used to. The most crucial change of it being the shift to a virtual environment. So instead of running a Big Data hotspot in a former-brewery-turned - event location for 3 days right in the heart of Berlin, we were all sitting at home in front of our computers, executing the conference from there. It all went extremely well, given the circumstances, and we worked in a great team with terrific partners (thanks, René and Paul from MICES, thanks Charlie from Open Source Connections) and a fantastic audience!
Next year, however, Berlin Buzzwords would definitely be back onsite, or so we hoped! Now in autumn of 2020, everywhere you turn, the number of infections are rising quickly, even faster than ever before. Hence we do not know yet if we can even hold an onsite Berlin Buzzwords next June. The pandemic makes things a bit uncertain, and we have to adjust with whatever is going to happen. We hope to see you all again, of course, but at this point, it is just impossible for us or anyone to make a sound statement on where we are heading with Berlin Buzzwords next year. But we can say for sure that Berlin Buzzwords will be back and we are thrilled to announce the new dates:
