Ellen Friedman, Principal Technologist with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, is  a speaker and author, currently writing mainly about large-scale data and AI. She is a committer for Apache Drill and Apache Mahout projects.  With a PhD in Biochemistry, she has experience as a research scientist and has written about topics including molecular biology and oceanography. She is co-author on O'Reilly publications including "AI and Analytics at Scale", "Machine Learning Logistics", "Introduction to Apache Flink", "Streaming Architecture" and the Practical Machine Learning series.
