Daniel Guagnin wrote his doctoral thesis on the role of lay users in Free Software Communities at Technische Universität Berlin. He is fellow at the Centre for Internet and Human Rights at Europa Universität Frankfurt (Oder) and does research on the social construction of technology and the effect of technological design on users and society. He also works as consultant in the field of privacy and data protection.
